The CSO Ile-de-France Est
The Specialised Obesity Centre (CSO) Ile-de-France Est brings together several healthcare institutions with multidisciplinary expertise in the management of severe and/or complicated obesity in children and adults, as well as surgical management.
From in-person to digital
The Pitie-Salpetriere hospital is part of the CSO Ile-de-France Est as the lead institution and has drawn on its experience and expertise gained through therapeutic patient education workshops to adapt them into a digital format. Participation in therapeutic patient education workshops is a real asset in care management, and patients report genuine satisfaction. However, places are limited — not all patients can benefit, both due to capacity constraints and organisational reasons, as workshops take place during the day on weekdays, which is not always compatible with a working life.
Digital access for everyone
This is why the CSO Ile-de-France Est decided to adapt this content into a 100% digital format, accessible at any time by patients and available on simple prescription. E-parcours prescriptions can be made by a physician and also by a dietician, psychologist or nurse. There is no longer a capacity limit — each enrolled patient is free to complete the workshops whenever they wish and at their own pace. Each module is prescribed if you meet its indications and as a complement to your in-person care pathway.

Prescription of these E-parcours is currently only possible during care at a CSO institution in the Ile-de-France region. The project will then expand to other institutions and, we hope, well beyond in the future.
