How does it work?

  1. 1

A healthcare professional sees a patient with obesity during a consultation at a Specialised Obesity Centre (CSO).

  2. 2

Together, they review the patient's health situation and assess the support plan based on the patient's expectations and needs.

  3. 3

At the end of the consultation, the healthcare professional may offer the patient an OB-E E-parcours tailored to their needs.

  4. 4

The patient follows a program of several workshops at the pace of one workshop per week, with intermediate observation exercises. The workshops include playful and interactive activities, all facilitated by specialised and caring healthcare professionals.

  5. 5

During and at the end of the E-parcours, the patient discusses with the surrounding healthcare professionals the new knowledge and skills acquired over the months following the E-parcours.

Most frequently asked questions

The E-parcours were developed by expert professionals and designed for you. Each module is prescribed by a healthcare professional (physician, surgeon, dietician, psychologist, nurse) in accordance with clearly defined indications and contraindications. The prescription should only be made after an individual assessment has been carried out. This prescription is part of a care pathway in line with HAS guidelines for obesity management and tailored to personalised goals. These E-parcours will help you initiate behavioural and lifestyle changes and, above all, give you time to refocus on yourself. This is your moment, which you will make into a weekly ritual. Other modules will also allow you to learn and acquire knowledge and skills related to your condition.

The E-parcours do not replace traditional hospital care. They complement it, with the aim of offering additional time for reflection on your eating habits. Do not hesitate to consult your healthcare professionals to discuss the content of the E-parcours. We have developed informational content that you will find at the beginning of each E-parcours to better understand the proposed content and the teaching approach used.

By following the E-parcours, in addition to videos, you will be offered playful exercises and practical activities to apply in your daily life. The idea is that between each workshop — every week — you can take the time to put into practice the tips and advice you have been given.

Have a computer or an up-to-date mobile device with sufficient battery. Note however that the experience is more comfortable on a computer. Use a recent, up-to-date browser, preferably Chrome. Make sure you have a reliable and fast internet connection. For added comfort, use a headset or external headphones.
